Job summary

DESTACO, a Stabilus Company, is seeking a Manager, Manufacturing Engineering in Wheeling, IL. The role oversees CNC programming, process development, maintenance, capital expenditure, and continuous improvement to improve cost efficiency and product quality.

The manager leads a team of manufacturing engineers and project engineers, coordinating with engineering, materials, operations, and quality to ensure safe, on-time delivery and alignment with ISO 9001. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years experience in manufacturing engineering and maintenance.
• Experience in continuous improvement.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
• Strong organizational skills and timely delivery.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Foster transparency and high performance within the manufacturing leadership team.
• Lead safety awareness and safe work environment initiatives.
• Guide continuous improvement roadmap and engage the plant team.
• Plan and communicate with the engineering team for efficient workflows and onboarding of new equipment.
• Coach and develop associate manufacturing engineers and project engineers.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency via programming methodologies and tooling optimization.
• Assist in evaluating new capital equipment and supporting new product introductions.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, materials and maintenance to prevent issues.
