Job summary

Intuitive is seeking a dynamic Manager of Manufacturing Engineering to lead a growing team responsible for high‑volume automation for minimally invasive robotic surgery. You will drive equipment design, process engineering and project management across cross‑functional and international teams to deliver scalable manufacturing solutions.

You will design and implement manufacturing architecture, specify BOMs and work instructions, apply automation controls and robot systems, and ensure designs

Qualifications

• Leadership in a cross-functional organization
• Experience leading manufacturing automation projects
• Experience with robot manufacturing systems and validation methods
• Knowledge of PFMEA or FMEA processes
• Experience in design for manufacturing/automation (DFMA)

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of engineers to develop, implement, and sustain advanced manufacturing equipment and processes.
• Collaborate with multiple international teams to deliver product in a high volume environment.
• Design and develop next generation manufacturing architecture utilizing internal and external resources.
• Create, maintain and improve mid- to high volume manufacturing assembly lines, BOMs, workflows, and work instructions.
• Apply experience in automation control and robot systems to ensure designs are capable (Yield/MTBF), serviceable (MTTR) and able to achieve throughput (OEE).
• Lead design for manufacturing and tolerance analyses during product design.
• Lead technical support for failure analysis and risk-based validation activities.
