Job summary

KLA Industries seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team of manufacturing engineers in an aerospace precision environment. You will drive process improvements, manage BOMs, and collaborate across engineering, operations, quality, and supply chain to ensure cost-efficient production and high-quality outputs.

Responsibilities include advancing CAD/CAM workflows with CATIA V5, generating detailed drawings, and applying Lean Kaizen to reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering; 5+ years in Manufacturing Engineering; leadership experience; aerospace or precision manufacturing background; strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Associate's degree accepted with relevant experience is considered.
  • Experience with CATIA V5, Epicor ERP, Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods, workflows, and production processes.
  • Estimate production times, labor requirements, equipment needs, and manufacturing costs.
  • Create CAD models and manufacturing documentation using CATIA V5 or similar CAD software.
  • Generate engineering drawings and product structures reflecting customer requirements.
  • Establish manufacturing tolerances and process documentation.
  • Support production and subcontractors with engineering solutions.
  • Coordinate engineering priorities with Operations, Quality, Purchasing, and Production teams.
  • Drive Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
  • Resolve manufacturing challenges through analytical problem-solving and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Position Summary

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager will lead a team of manufacturing engineers responsible for improving production processes, developing manufacturing methods, supporting production, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferred (Associate's Degree considered with relevant experience)
  • Minimum 5 years of Manufacturing Engineering experience
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience
  • Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing environments
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferred
  • Experience with CATIA V5
  • Epicor ERP experience
  • Lean Manufacturing and Kaizen implementation experience
  • Strong CAD and technical documentation skills
  • Continuous Improvement mindset
