Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company in Milpitas, CA, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead the site manufacturing engineering organization, own process execution, equipment readiness, and test support while ensuring quality, regulatory, and safety compliance.

You will partner with Operations, R&D, and Quality to drive cost reduction, throughput improvements, NPI transfers, and capital projects, while developing engineering talent and maintaining up-to-date manufacturing documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; 7+ years manufacturing engineering experience.
• 3+ years of people management leading engineers/technicians.
• Experience with electro-mechanical instrumentation and regulated ops.
• Capitalize on root-cause investigations using 8D, DMAIC, 5 Why, Fishbone, A3.

Responsibilities

• Lead site manufacturing engineering for production, tooling, and processes.
• Set priorities and goals aligned with site objectives and safety standards.
• Drive cost reduction, throughput, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support NPI transfers and technology introduction to manufacturing.
• Develop docs: work instructions, PFMEAs, control plans, validation records.
• Oversee capital equipment projects from business case to handoff.
