Job summary

Redbock - an NES Fircroft company in Northridge/San Diego, CA seeks a Technical Lead, Manufacturing for a 12-month contract. You will guide production engineering, drive process validation, and oversee capital equipment projects to enable safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

The role requires 8–10+ years in manufacturing leadership, expertise in FDA/ISO 13485, and cross-functional collaboration to support NPI, line readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical, or Chemical preferred).
• 8–10+ years of manufacturing and leadership experience.
• Experience with NPI, technology transfer, scale-up and capital equipment projects.
• Experience with process validation and change control management.
• Familiarity with FDA/ISO 13485, quality systems, and CAPA concepts.
• Strong problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for production line to ensure safe, compliant and efficient manufacturing operations.
• Lead process validations, equipment qualifications, and manufacturing changes.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and R&D to meet regulatory and quality requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement: improve yield, throughput and OEE across lines.
• Mentor manufacturing and process engineers and cross-functional teams.
