Job summary

Autoneum is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the manufacturing facility's engineering department. This role ensures efficient operation of all engineering activities, including NPI, Capex, process improvement, and project management, while driving continuous improvement and maintaining safety and quality standards.

The candidate will oversee budgeting, scheduling, and capital projects, mentor the team, and coordinate with Operations and Maintenance to deliver robust production processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field.
• Minimum of five years in a manufacturing environment with at least two years in supervision/management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with PDCA and A3 methodologies.
• Proficient with engineering software, manufacturing systems, and technical tools.
• Understanding of manufacturing safety regulations, quality systems, and industry standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to collaborate across functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the engineering team through coaching and performance management.
• Develop strategies to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Manage new program launches from award to SOP with milestone tracking.
• Oversee budgeting, scheduling, capital justification, and resource allocation.
• Direct capital equipment and facility improvement projects within budgets.
• Ensure equipment is commissioned, validated, and production-ready.
• Maintain and review plant equipment asset inventories annually.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Maintenance to resolve issues.
• Support preventive and total productive maintenance programs.
• Travel to other Autoneum locations as needed.
