Job summary

Autoneum is a global leader in acoustic and thermal management for light and commercial vehicles. The Engineering Manager will head the engineering department in our manufacturing facility, driving NPI, Capex allocation, process improvements, and project management.

Responsibilities include leading the engineering team, managing launches from award to SOP, budgeting, and ensuring safety and quality standards. Requires at least 5 years in manufacturing with supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or related field) is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years in manufacturing with at least two (2) years in supervisory/management role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with PDCA/A3 experience.
• Proficiency with engineering software, manufacturing systems and technical tools.
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety regulations, quality systems and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop the engineering team through coaching, training, and performance management.
• Develop and implement engineering strategies to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Manage new program launches from business award through Start of Production (SOP).
• Oversee projects including budgeting, scheduling, capital justification, resources, and implementation.
• Direct capital equipment and facility improvement projects within approved budgets.
• Ensure equipment is commissioned, validated, and approved before start-up.
• Maintain and review plant equipment asset inventories annually.
• Develop and improve plant process standards, SOPs, and process parameters.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance and other departments to resolve issues.
• Support preventive and total productive maintenance programs.
• Conduct Layered Process Audits and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality ISO 14001 and IATF/TS 16949.
