Job summary

General Dynamics Land Systems in Lima, Ohio, is seeking an experienced manufacturing program and project management professional. You will lead investigations and reporting on production programs and plant modernization, driving capital projects and government-funded initiatives.

You will coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, and external partners to minimize issues and ensure safe, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering or technical field.
• 10 years related experience preferred.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain DOD security clearance.
• Manufacturing process and equipment experience desired.
• Demonstrated project management skills and organization.
• Excellent written and presentation communications skills.
• Proficient with MS software; Creo or equivalent highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Management, investigation, and reporting on manufacturing tasks for current and future production programs.
• Management, investigation, and reporting on plant modernization tasks and industrial base studies, incl. economic analysis and project prioritization.
• Plan strategies and development of capital and government funded projects for plant equipment improvements.
• Lead and manage capital and government funding projects, including procurements, schedules, budgets, and action items to minimize/eliminate problems.
• Serve as technical liaison between engineers, skilled trades, and related disciplines.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing operations at GDLS Lima Operations.
• Interface with Government, GDLS Divisional office, and vendors.
• Coach and mentor salary bargaining unit engineers through team-based coordination of technical tasks.
• Maintain safe work practices and safe work environment.
