The role emphasizes leadership of the quality function, ensuring APQP/PPAP compliance, continuous improvement, and timely launches with customers. Travel to various sites is expected as part of continuous manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technical or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of three years’ experience with automotive quality systems in manufacturing.
• Thorough understanding of IATF 16949 and APQP requirements.
• Lean Manufacturing experience.
• Ability to write reports and communicate with managers, employees and customers.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and support to ensure safety, housekeeping (5S), and professionalism within the Quality department.
• Coordinate plant activities and provide resources for designation of Special Characteristics, SPC, Process Capability.
• Ensure the PPAP process is initiated internally and externally as defined in the AIAG PPAP manual.
• Directly responsible to keep updated on customer APQP requirements and act as liaison to customers on quality issues.
• Lead problem solving and preventative actions for customer program launch issues.
• Coordinate Run@Rate activities in compliance to customer launch schedule and PPAP readiness.
• Implement and oversee a 100% product audit program and ensure IATF16949 compliance.
