Job summary

BorgWarner is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support daily engineering activities at our Bellwood, IL plant. You will assist with PPAP projects, SPC studies, layout design, and time studies while gaining hands-on experience in industrial and manufacturing engineering.

The role requires you to commute to the Bellwood facility, demonstrate mechanical aptitude, and communicate effectively. This internship emphasizes learning, teamwork, and practical problem solving in a dynamic

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a bachelor\'s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field with GPA ≥ 2.5.
Ability to reliably commute to Bellwood, IL plant.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Good multi-tasking and time management abilities.
Basic understanding of engineering principles.
Willingness and desire to learn; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

Assist Manufacturing Engineers with daily routines and tasks.
Support PPAP projects and 8D studies.
Conduct troubleshooting for machinery and quality issues; participate in SPC studies.
Update documentation on the system and on the floor; help with work standards and control plans.
Contribute to plant floor layout design and process improvements; support Gaging/CPK studies.
