BorgWarner is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support daily engineering activities at our Bellwood, IL plant. You will assist with PPAP projects, SPC studies, layout design, and time studies while gaining hands-on experience in industrial and manufacturing engineering.

• Currently pursuing a bachelor\'s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field with GPA ≥ 2.5.
• Ability to reliably commute to Bellwood, IL plant.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Good multi-tasking and time management abilities.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles.
• Willingness and desire to learn; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsabilités

• Assist Manufacturing Engineers with daily routines and tasks.
• Support PPAP projects and 8D studies.
• Conduct troubleshooting for machinery and quality issues; participate in SPC studies.
• Update documentation on the system and on the floor; help with work standards and control plans.
• Contribute to plant floor layout design and process improvements; support Gaging/CPK studies.

Description:Assist Manufacturing Engineers with all aspects of their daily routines.

Key Tasks:

• PPAP Project Support
• Conduct troubleshooting studies for machinery and quality issues
• 8D project studies
• Documentation updates (system & floor)
• SPC studies
• Plant floor layout design
• Time Studies and Process Cycle Time Improvements
• Redesign machine components
• Document Preparation and design (Work Standards, Control Plans, Process Documentation)
• Gaging - CPK Studies
• OEE & Process Standards
• Machining Capability Improvements
• Tolerances
• Reduce process variation

Education Requirements Include:

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing Engineering or related field with a minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0.

Additional Requirements:

• Ability to reliably commute our Bellwood, IL plant (not remote)
• Experience showing mechanical aptitude a plus
• Excellent communication skills required - oral and written
• Good multi-tasking skills
• Ability to drive for results is essential
• Ability to do logical problem solving
• Basic understanding of engineering principles
• Willingness and desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently or in a team setting.
• Computer literacy is necessary
• Time Management Skills

Pay Range: $21.89 - $29.86

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:

• Optional 401k available
• Flexible Scheduling
• Candidates not meeting the requirements will not be considered.

Pay Range: $19.63-28.40
