Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Intern to support Operations within their Space and Mission Systems segment in Palm Bay, FL. This role provides exposure to Manufacturing, Quality, Test, EHS, and Continuous Improvement, with experience across wireless products, fiber optics, robotics, and RF devices for national security.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a BA/BS in a related field with strong communication and technical writing skills, plus familiarity with data analytics

Qualifications

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

Implement and analyze manufacturing plans and projects.
Baseline Hours per Unit (HPU) for an array of product lines.
Develop process improvements and plans to create efficiencies.
Make recommendations for tooling and process requirements for new product introductions.
Maintain records and reporting systems for coordination of manufacturing operations.
Support development of digital dashboards using PowerBI systems enhancing manufacturing metrics.
Provide logistics support for optimizing product flow and throughput.
Support Artificial Intelligence (AI) adoption and application to manufacturing work cells.
Work on cross-functional teams supporting the business.
Quality assurance development of mistake-proofing, Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA).
