Qualifications

• Major: Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Agricultural/Ag Eng
• Level of Education: Graduate student preferred
• Work availability- Minimum 40hrs/week Spring Semester
• Able to interact with all levels of organization (Shop floor to Management)
• Familiar with basic hand tools
• CAD and simulation experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Help improve assembly line layouts and flow.
• Provide detailed data collection and analysis (time studies, material flow, waste analysis).
• Assist in implementing new equipment on assembly lines (including performing capability studies).
• Design and implement Poka-Yokes on assembly line.
• Implement manufacturing controls on assembly line.
• Help design and implement process improvements on assembly line.
• Help improve ergonomics throughout assembly process.
