Job summary

Otis Elevator Company is seeking motivated undergraduates for Manufacturing Engineering Internships in Florence, SC. You will participate in multiple projects within the Manufacturing Department, learn lean concepts, engage with stakeholders, and build project management and customer service skills.

The program provides training, feedback, and potential future opportunities after a successful internship, with hourly pay ranging from $25 to $29 per hour and a Summer 2027 start date.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in engineering.
• Must be actively pursuing a degree and remain enrolled in an accredited degree program beginning Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing programs/products through production with cost, delivery and specs alignment.
• Read and understand blueprints, specifications, and work instructions.
• Identify tools and fixtures required to manufacture products to spec.
• Ensure a safe working environment is maintained.
• Develop or procure equipment to improve productivity, efficiency and safety.
• Document processes thoroughly and follow change-management when changes occur.
• Apply Lean principles to set up and improve work cells.
