Job summary

Emerson internship program seeks an engineering student to apply technical expertise in production, and to design or select tools and fixtures that drive cost reductions and quality improvements.

You'll develop manufacturing processes, participate in design reviews, and collaborate with global teams while pursuing a bachelor’s in engineering. This full-time, in-person role offers hands-on experience and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s in engineering and seeking hands-on experience.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Apply technical expertise in production of products.
• Select, design or recommend tools, fixtures, and equipment.
• Develop manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve quality.
• Recommend design changes to increase quality or reduce issues.
• Solve production problems and improve process capabilities.
• Participate in test result presentations and design reviews.
• Interact with other functional groups, vendors, or customers.
• Initiate and implement routine engineering change authorizations.
• Support capacity modeling and lean initiatives; may join six sigma teams.
• May interact with teammates in global locations.
