Job summary

MSI Express is seeking an Engineering Intern in Grand Prairie, TX for a 10-week summer program. You will work on real manufacturing challenges, support cross-functional teams, and present results to leadership.

This paid internship runs Monday–Friday, about 8 hours daily. Requires enrollment in an Engineering/Manufacturing/Industrial/Mechanical program and strong problem-solving, communication, and Excel skills. Periodic travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related program.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to analyze technical and operational data to identify trends.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in startup, validation, and optimization of manufacturing lines.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste and improve productivity.
• Develop and update work instructions, centerline documents, SOPs, and improvement plans.
• Monitor production throughput, equipment performance, and efficiency to identify opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, quality, and supply chain teams.
