Job summary

Senior plc's SSP division seeks an undergraduate or recent graduate in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Physics to join the Manufacturing Engineering team as an intern. You will assist with master routings, verifying BOMs, implementing process improvements, and analyzing data to boost production efficiency on site.

You will collaborate with Operations, Quality Engineering, Program Management, Design Engineering, Tool Design, Purchasing, Contracts, and Shipping/Receiving; coursework will be balanced

Qualifications

• Student working toward, or recently graduated with, a BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Physics.
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Can demonstrate ability to face unfamiliar problems and apply engineering and physics principles.
• Can demonstrate leadership and technical competence, backed by examples of actual execution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to break down complex projects into actionable tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manufacturing Engineering team with daily work and special assignments.
• Support in areas: Technical production support, data reduction/analysis, process improvement, automation, and standardization.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality Engineering, Program Management, Design Engineering, Tool Design, Purchasing, Contracts, and Shipping/Receiving.
