Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, ID is seeking a High Volume Manufacturing Engineer student to optimize area performance and reduce cycle times. You will collaborate with PD, ATE, PEE, ME and IE teams to expedite product movement and address process issues impacting quality.

The role emphasizes data analytics, AI-enabled insights, and developing Best Known Methods while contributing to continuous improvement and KPI achievement. Eligible students graduating after Sep 2026 encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent semiconductor industry experience.
• Must be a current student and not graduate before September 2026.
• Fundamental understanding of Fab process areas and area equipment.
• Strong grasp of SPC principles and area process quality control systems.
• Hands-on data analytics experience, including querying databases and AI-enabled analytics.
• Experience or knowledge of scripting, programming, and visualization tools (Python, Java, Tableau, Matlab, MS Office).

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety training is completed and work complies with safety policies.
• Maintain tool documentation and update content as needed.
• Apply manufacturing science to analyze workstation performance and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve issues.
• Help analyze data, identify trends, and propose solutions for area issues.
• Analyze and optimize area queue times to reduce cycle time and breaches.
• Understand redundancy options to address constraint workstations.
• Explore integration of AI into workflows.
• Lead improvement projects to achieve area KPIs within scope and schedule.
• Collaborate to create BKMs and procedures across shifts.
• Work with Equipment and Process owners to resolve tool/setup issues.
