Job summary

Micron Technology in Boise, Idaho is seeking a High Volume Manufacturing Process Engineer Intern to support process optimization, yield improvement, throughput enhancement, and cost reduction in a fast-paced manufacturing area.

You will collaborate with equipment engineering, operations, and cross-functional teams, applying SPC, DOE, and data analytics to drive improvements while pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or related engineering field.
• Active student status and not graduating before September 2026.
• Solid understanding of SPC and DOE principles.
• Proficiency with programming/visualization tools such as Python, Java, MATLAB, Tableau, or MS Office.
• Ability to analyze manufacturing data and make data-driven decisions.

Responsibilities

• Drive process optimization and manufacturing efficiency by monitoring performance, analyzing data, and supporting throughput and wafer output goals.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process issues to prevent yield loss, defects, or production impacts; escalate when needed.
• Apply SPC, DOE, and 8D problem-solving to improve process capability and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with process owners, operations, and engineering stakeholders to address chronic issues and support continuous improvement.
• Leverage AI and data analytics tools to identify opportunities and enhance manufacturing performance.
