Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools.
• Familiarity with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Create or update work instructions, SOPs, and process flow diagrams.
• Document assembly procedures and quality checks.
• Collect and analyze production data (cycle times, scrap rates, downtime).
• Identify trends or bottlenecks through basic statistical analysis.
• Assist in root cause analysis for defects or inefficiencies.
• Participate in Kaizen events or Lean initiatives.
• Suggest workflow, ergonomic, or material handling improvements.
• Assist in implementing 5S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
• Support CAD/design tasks as needed.
• Help with training materials for operators.

Key Responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Engineering Intern, you will support the engineering team in the following areas:

• Reporting & Communication
• Prepare daily/weekly reports on production metrics.
• Communicate findings and improvement ideas to engineers and supervisors.
• Training & Documentation
• Assist in creating training materials for operators.
• Document new processes introduced during projects.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement tools.
