Job summary

Haworth is seeking paid Manufacturing Engineering Interns to join our Bruce, MS team for a hands-on 12-week summer program. You will work on real projects in a leading manufacturing environment, gaining exposure to time studies, machinery setup, CAD work, and lean processes.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in bachelor’s program in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering with junior status by Fall 2027.
• On-site in Bruce, MS May 2027 to August 2027.
• Must have unrestricted right to work in the US.

Job Overview

We are currently looking for paid Manufacturing Engineering Interns to join our team in Bruce, MS. This position will be working onsite at Haworth.
Get ready for an adventurous summer as a Haworth intern! You'll join a cohort of around 50 other dynamic interns for a 12-week program packed with hands on learning. Throughout the summer you will dive into real projects that will give you a taste of what it's like to work in a leading business and manufacturing environment.
Each week brings new experiences as a group. Sharpen your skills with interactive workshops on networking, public speaking, and using AI tools in a business environment. Connect with mentors and see all areas of the office and manufacturing processes. Then unwind at intern only social events where you can meet people from all corners of the business. By the end of the summer, you'll leave with real skills, an expanded professional network, and memories to last a lifetime. This is your chance to take your career to new heights!
As a Manufacturing Engineering intern, you will also have the opportunity to assist with a variety of exciting projects including: Time studies, setting up and implementing new machinery, CAD drawings, and involvement in lean processes.

Required Qualifications

• Part-time or full-time college enrollment, working towards a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering with at least a junior level status by Fall 2027.
• Ability to work On‑site in Bruce, MS from May 2027 to August 2027.
• Applicants must possess an unrestricted right to work in the US to be eligible for the position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Overall GPA of 2.95 or higher
• Prior Haworth Experience
• Previous Employment Experience
• Extra‑Curricular Activity Experience such as athletics, clubs, volunteer work, etc.
• CAD (AutoCAD, Solidworks)
• Excel

Ideally, You Have Also Demonstrated The Following

• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Working knowledge of personal computers, spreadsheet applications, and keyboard skills.
• Desire to learn, question, and research solutions to problems.
• Organized with the ability to manage deadlines.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
