Job summary

You will develop leaders, set KPIs, and collaborate with project managers to align resources with strategy, while traveling 10–20% for factory activities and stakeholder engagements.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading teams in technical or manufacturing settings.
• Ability to balance competing priorities across a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication across functions and levels.
• Continuous improvement mindset with solid technical/analytical abilities.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% for factory activities and visits.

Responsibilities

• Drive execution across technical workstreams with workload balancing and follow-through.
• Maintain visibility into team capacity, priorities, risks and constraints.
• Align engineering execution with project strategy and cross-functional dependencies.
• Translate priorities into actionable plans with measurable progress.
• Ensure robust, on-time solutions through disciplined execution and standards.
• Coordinate handoffs and sustainment across engineering, build, test, startup and production support.
• Develop functional leads and SME depth, fostering ownership and mentoring.
• Collaborate with MFG and NPD to improve capability, safety, quality, efficiency and reliability.
• Coach team members within Laitram's Continuous Improvement program.
• Set team goals, KPI, and individual expectations aligned with priorities.
• Lead hiring, performance reviews, development planning, and staffing strength.
