Job summary

Intralox, a division of Laitram, L.L.C., is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to drive continuous improvement at the Harahan, LA facility. You will lead root-cause analyses, manage non-conformances, and develop PFMEA, control plans, and SPC to ensure first-pass quality and world-class customer experience.

You will partner with Operations and Engineering, apply data-driven decisions, and stay current with industry best practices. Some travel and weekend coverage may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Manufacturing, Plastic, Industrial Technology, or related field) and minimum 2 years as Quality/Process Engineer in high‑volume manufacturing.
• Demonstrated hands-on process improvement on the factory floor.
• Strong statistical analysis skills (Process Capability, Gage R&R, ANOVA) and data visualization (Pareto charts).
• Proficiency in project management, meeting timelines and business priorities.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality systems and tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on quality support for plant operations by addressing daily production and customer quality issues.
• Manage non-conforming materials, dispositions, and reviews.
• Develop and maintain quality tools, PFMEA, control plans, and SPC.
• Lead structured problem-solving and root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone).
• Analyze quality metrics and drive improvements with Operations and Engineering.
• Champion lean quality projects aligned to critical success factors.
• Create and maintain scalable quality documentation and workflows.
• Research and adopt new quality technologies and best practices.
• Support new product introductions and manufacturing readiness.
