Job summary

GE Aerospace invites enthusiastic students to join our Manufacturing Engineering internship, designed to build a solid foundation in manufacturing and assembly processes. The role covers core areas such as process improvement, technology integration, and cost-out initiatives, serving as a springboard to our MEDP or OMLP programs after graduation.

Qualifications

• Prior GE Aerospace intern experience required.
• GPA 3.0 on a 4.0 scale or higher.
• Enrolled in full-time bachelor’s or graduate program (accepted majors listed).
• Willingness to work in 35+ GE Aerospace U.S. locations.
• Reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

• Learn state-of-the-art manufacturing methods.
• Support manufacturing and repair processes for components and engine assembly.
• Maintain high-quality standards via risk assessment, RCA, corrective action, and statistical controls.
• Ensure safe work conditions via EHS initiatives.
• Apply Lean and Six Sigma to drive productivity, on-time delivery, process capability, and stable operations.
• Build project management, negotiation, and business acumen while coordinating with shops and suppliers.
