Job summary

Steffes in Dickinson, ND is seeking a Manufacturing Process Engineer responsible for the creation, revision, and maintenance of production processes, including SAP SOPs and control procedures. You will help monitor capacity and capability within the shop to ensure smooth operations.

The role involves leading process improvement projects, participating in LEAN events, and collaborating across functions to drive quality, safety, and on-time performance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of engineering courses.
• An acceptable combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain manufacturing process definitions using SAP’s Standard Assembly Procedures, SOPs, and BOPs.
• Participate in LEAN events such as Kaizens, value stream mapping, 5S, and VAVE.
• Complete non-conformance requests (NCRs).
• Lead productivity improvement projects and champion timely completion of actions.
• Develop plant layouts of equipment, flow, storage, and exterior items.
• Perform time and motion analysis studies.
• Work in the production shop to learn processes and propose improvements.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere through collaborative communication with customers, suppliers, coworkers, and management.
• Assist in meeting Strategic, Quality and Safety objectives.
• Other duties may be assigned.
