Job summary

Viking Pump, Inc. within IDEX Corporation invites students pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Technology to join our team in Cedar Falls.

The role focuses on Safety, Continuous Improvement, Lean, and 80/20 initiatives in our Machine Shop and Foundry environments. Applicants should be pursuing an engineering degree, have familiarity with 3D CAD software, and maintain a minimum major GPA of 3.0.

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.
• Knowledgeable with 3D CAD software.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Major preferred.

• Develop standard work instructions specific to machines or work processes.
• Work in a team environment to implement manufacturing improvement projects.

Primary Function

Under general direction, participate in and/or lead support projects related to Safety, Continuous Improvement, Lean, and 80/20 across a variety of functions in our Machine Shop and Foundry facilities.

• Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.
• General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.
