Job summary

IDEX is seeking a student co-op for its Engineering Department in Cedar Falls, Iowa, within the Biopharma project group. The student will participate in design and new product development to support Growth & Innovation in the biopharma pumping segment.

The role requires collaboration on cross-functional teams, testing, data analysis, and documentation. You will create SolidWorks models, maintain BOMs in ERP, and learn additive manufacturing and 3D scanning technologies.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Strong interest in design, prototyping and data analysis.
• Able to work on cross-functional teams and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Engineering team at Viking Pump Inc., a Unit of IDEX Corporation, is seeking a student co-op to work within our Engineering Department in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Specifically within the Biopharma project group. Student will participate in design/new product development projects to support Growth & Innovation in biopharma pumping segment.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or similar
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Major

COMPUTER SKILLS

• Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex, write by hand and keyboard, and perform general office functions.
• Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.
• General manufacturing, warehouse and office environment.
