Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to coordinate activities in steel fabrication, tooling, welding, robotics, and mechanical assembly. You will provide engineering support to improve product quality and reduce production costs.

The role requires experience in automated environments, writing work instructions, developing fixtures, and implementing safe, efficient processes while collaborating with shop floor staff.

Qualifications

• At least three years of manufacturing engineering experience in steel fabrication.
• Experience working in an automated environment.
• Experience setting time standards, lean manufacturing, line balancing, and process flow.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities in system fabrication, tooling, welding, robotics, and mechanical assembly.
• Provide engineering support to improve product quality and reduce production costs.
• Develop work instructions, assembly fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing equipment.
• Develop safe work practices and seek opportunities for process improvements.
• Work with employees to resolve problems and avoid grievances.
