Job summary

Crenlo Engineered Cabs in Rochester, MN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support production; you will help maintain and improve processes and systems across the plant and serve as a SME for technical planning. The role reports to the Plant Engineering Manager and involves independent work plus team collaboration.

The position emphasizes welding and assembly proficiency, lean practices, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of plant personnel while driving improvements

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing is a plus.
• Proficiency in welding and assembly processes and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Develops, improves, and monitors standards, processes, and performance to reduce costs and improve production operations.
• Analyzes production data to identify bottlenecks and drives safety, quality, throughput, and cost savings initiatives.
• Provides objective, functional, and financial engineering guidance on capital expenditures to site management.
• Supports installation and implementation of capital expenditures.
• Develops and maintains SOPs and Work Instructions.
• Provides lean manufacturing guidance to operations through coordination with the site Lean Manager.
• Investigates production issues using a systematic approach to root cause and corrective actions (8D problem solving methodology).
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary

This engineering position is responsible to support product production in the plant and reports to the Plant Engineering Manager. The manufacturing engineer works both independently and as a part of a team to maintain and improve processes and systems used in manufacturing. In addition, manufacturing engineers function as specialists and subject matter experts for technical planning throughout the facility.

Salary Compensation: The compensation range for this position is $75,747 - $91,066 annually.

Key Responsibilities

Key Skills And Competencies

Preferred candidates will have prior experience within a manufacturing environment, knowledge of lean manufacturing is a plus. Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of plant personnel. Demonstrate proficiency within welding and assembly processes, coordinating work activities and managing multiple tasks and priorities is a requirement.
