Job summary

Applied Composites is seeking an Engineer, Manufacturing-Weekend 3/12's to improve manufacturing capabilities and support introduction of new products. You will participate in design and development tasks, and apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to optimize fabrication processes within a fast-paced aerospace-focused operation.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, adherence to standardized procedures, and timely delivery of results.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and work experience to perform job expectations.
• 0-2 years of relevant experience.
• Familiar with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma or other continuous improvement.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides engineering solutions to improve the manufacture of products.
• Uses procedures to solve standard problems and analyzes information.
• Exchanges technical information clearly and checks for understanding.
• Participates in design and development work for new products.
• Contributes to improving processes impacting operations growth.
• Works within standardized procedures to meet deadlines.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
