Job summary
Precision Personnel is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer III for a Weekend Shift in Savannah, GA. You will work independently to analyze and improve manufacturing processes, including layout, flow, tooling, and equipment, ensuring efficient production and zero-defect opportunities.
The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering and at least 4 years of related experience. Proficiency with CATIA v5, Solumina II, SAP, and Corridor is highly desirable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
- 4 years of manufacturing engineering, planning, or related technical experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical studies and analyze operations to recommend equipment and methods.
- Author detailed work instructions to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
- Create DRDI/DMT rework instructions to support corrective actions.
- Develop MBOM in SAP/Solumina/Corridor to ensure proper installation.
- Generate make-or-buy proposals and evaluate vendors and actions.
- Investigate planning/projects to ensure conformance to requirements.
- Propose equipment and facility investments with justification.
- Conduct producibility studies from engineering drawings.
- Apply statistical methods to forecast manufacturing requirements.
- Prioritize workloads and provide estimates based on resources and schedules.
- Stay current on Lean manufacturing developments and apply Lean/Six Sigma.
