Sportech, LLC in Elk River, MN is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer specialized in vacuum thermoforming. The role focuses on process leadership, continuous improvement, and transitioning prototypes to full production of plastic vacuum thermoformed parts.

You will develop tooling, document processes, and drive manufacturing method improvements while collaborating with NPD and production teams. A Bachelor's in engineering and 5+ years in plastic forming are required.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Plastic Engineering required.
• 5+ years of manufacturing plastic forming experience required.
• Understanding of multiple manufacturing processes including machining and fixtures.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
• Experience implementing process changes to improve department performance.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong teamwork and cross-functional drive.
• Knowledge of ERP software preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Aid in production transfers from NPD to manufacturing for vacuum thermoformed products.
• Develop process documentation: Process Flow, FEMA, standard work, instructions.
• Develop tooling and gauging; support design reviews.
• Enter and maintain MOM operations in ERP.
• Drive improvements to manufacturing methods using design/materials knowledge.
• Support production during product development from prototype to production.
• Contribute to LEAN manufacturing initiatives and cost-savings tracking.
