Job summary

RBC Bearings is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer Trainee in Carson City, NV to support the lead engineer on manufacturing projects and documentation control management. You will learn lean processes and apply engineering principles to improve manufacturing operations, including time studies and workflow optimization.

You will assist in creating detailed drawings, BOMs, and CAD models, while supporting quality and ITAR/EAR compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related manufacturing field.
• Some experience recommended but not required in a variety of manufacturing processes, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, and laser cutting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook required.

Responsibilities

• Support ME Department with time studies and design fixtures.
• Provide hands-on build/repair of existing equipment.
• Build new test equipment.
• Support shop layout review.
• Create detail itemised drawings and BOMs for product manufacturing, marketing, and purchasing; maintain production and fabrication documents through IBM i systems.
