General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. is seeking a Waterfront Manufacturing Engineer to develop build strategies and fixtures for submarine fabrication.

The role involves designing tools, coordinating manufacturing documents, and supporting shipyard activities with a collaborative team in Groton, CT, Quonset Point, RI, and Newport News, VA. The engineer will work in a design, build, and sustain environment, traveling as needed to optimize production flows and installations while leveraging

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
• 0–5 years post-graduate experience.
• Construction support experience.
• Background in structural analysis and/or finite element analysis methods.

Responsabilités

• Develop designs for tools and fixtures.
• Prepare Manufacturing Engineering Documents for sequence and alignment.
• Direct shipyard support with engineers/designers, trades, vendors, and planning reps.
• Travel between Groton and Quonset Point may be required.
