Doosan Bobcat NA US in Gwinner, ND is offering a Manufacturing Engineer Student Experience for Summer 2027. This program enables students to gain hands-on experience on capital projects, fabrication, mainframe factory and paint-line improvements while pursuing an undergrad degree.

As a Co-op or Intern, you will be a full-time 8-month or part-time 4-month team member, developing layouts, time studies, line balancing, and Lean/DFT initiatives.

Qualifications

• Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing seeking a degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent
• 3.0 GPA or higher preferred
• Be able to commit full-time to Bobcat for the entire term (8 months) or internship (4 months)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint)
• Communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing layouts for capital projects
• Develop time studies for line balancing and setup reduction
• Assist in new product and ECN implementation
• Create programs for various lasers, plasmas, brakes and turret machines
• Calculate cycle times
• Assist in developing Lean/DFT initiatives and automation programs
• Assist in process documentation, workflow and work-content identification
• Assist in continual improvement of factory safety, quality, reliability and productivity
• Assist in solution development and implementation
• Assist in implementing the Orange Powdered System and conveyor weight capacity project
• Support continual improvement of paint quality and reduction of defects

Role & Responsibility

Capital Project Implementation

• Assist in developing layouts for capital projects
• Develop time studies for line balancing and setup reduction

Fabrication

• Assist in new product and ECN implementation

Job Requirement

The salary range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00 per hour depending on experience and other factors.
