Job summary

QinetiQ US is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to sustain and improve manufacturing processes, help design work cell layouts, review equipment, and troubleshoot issues that affect production and delivery targets.

The role spans non-routine service contracts, repair of spare parts, and collaboration with Maritime Systems, Unmanned Vehicles, Warfighter Protection, and related teams to ensure program success and readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline plus 3–5 years in manufacturing environments.
• Proven problem-solving ability in a production setting.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
• Experience authoring or updating operator-facing work instructions.
• Strong technical writing and multi-project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports daily manufacturing floor operations for Survivability product lines, addressing production needs and solving problems.
• Modifies and creates cutter/laser cut files, repairs equipment, and operates lasers and cutting systems.
• Performs mechanical data testing and analyzes results per ASTM standards.
• Uses CAD tools for design modifications and production documentation.
