Job summary

MS Technology is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support our client in Oak Ridge, TN. The role focuses on establishing routings, processes, and procedures for fabrication, assembly, and repair of complex components.

You will lead product launch activities and drive targets for availability, performance, and quality across manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate has a mechanical/electrical/chemical engineering background with 5 years of manufacturing experience, lean manufacturing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, chemical or related engineering discipline.
Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience.
Experience with lean manufacturing.
Experience with industry manufacturing quality systems (NQA-1, ISO-TS, AS9001).
Experience with AIAG Core Tools.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Q clearance.

Responsibilities

Establishes routings, processes, and procedures for fabrication, assembly, and repair of complex components.
Leads product launch activities.
Targets availability, performance, and quality for manufacturing operations.
Supports scopes of work for manufacturing activities.
Drives opportunities for process improvements in machining, fixturing, tooling, coolants, and Lean methods.
Documents risks or shortfalls in future state processes.
Leads planning and analysis activities.
Designs/manufactures processes with cross-functional teams.
Develops specifications for fabrication materials and equipment.
Leads design for manufacturing in engineering packages.
Manages work to meet schedule and budget.
Adheres to company policies, safety, and environmental requirements.
