Job summary

Hubbell Incorporated in Shelton, CT. is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead process improvements, support design, troubleshoot production issues, and drive lean initiatives across manufacturing operations.

The role collaborates with operators, maintenance, planning, and quality to reduce defects, implement capital projects, and maintain BOMs/Routes. A BS in Mechanical Engineering and 1–3 years of experience are typical.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (General, Mechanical, or Electrical) required.
  • 1–3 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Experience with automation applications and SAP preferred.
  • Facility layout optimization experience desired.
  • Time study and labor standards experience required.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD/Visio; MS Office.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure safe, cost-effective manufacturing processes delivering first-pass quality.
  • Support process, equipment, tooling and design issues.
  • Develop new products with central design and marketing.
  • Implement capital projects aligning with facility objectives.
  • Evaluate and implement projects to meet current and future needs.
  • Maintain product engineering databases including BOMs and routes.
  • Collaborate with management on feasibility, cost and customer demand.
