Job summary

Microwave Power Products (MPP) on the Palo Alto production floor is seeking an engineering generalist to troubleshoot defects and investigate material, process, tooling, equipment, and assembly issues. You will implement corrective actions and improve documentation to strengthen quality, yield, and process capability.

You will lead or contribute to cross-functional projects, drawing on experience in manufacturing engineering and process control to drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, mechanical, materials, or industrial engineering or related field.
• Approximately three years of hands-on manufacturing experience preferred; early-career considered.
• Strong communication and cross-functional project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on production floor engineering support and troubleshoot defects.
• Investigate materials, processes, tooling, equipment, and assembly issues to find root causes.

Implement and validate corrective actions, improve specialized manufacturing processes and documentation, and lead or contribute to projects that improve quality, yield, productivity, and process capability.

Requirements: Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in manufacturing, mechanical, materials, industrial engineering, or a related field, with approximately three years of relevant hands‑on manufacturing experience preferred; early‑career candidates with meaningful applied experience may also be considered. The role calls for production troubleshooting and root cause analysis, knowledge of engineering materials and manufacturing processes, strong communication and project management skills, and the ability to work cross‑functionally.
