Job summary

The Process Engineer at Tenneco in the United States serves as the manufacturing lead for customer-requested product variations and engineering changes, guiding evaluation, documentation, and sustained implementation within production.

You will collaborate with Production, Quality, Weld Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Program Management to optimize welding operations, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement, with a strong emphasis on safety and compliant processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of process engineering experience in manufacturing.
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead implementation of customer-requested product variations and engineering changes in Weld Department.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, Weld Engineering, Maintenance, Supply Chain and Program Management.
  • Analyze impact of changes on processes, labor, tooling, equipment, quality, capacity and cost.
  • Develop and execute plans for smooth integration with minimal production disruption.
  • Ensure documentation, work instructions and standard work reflect approved changes.
  • Support customer audits and manufacturing readiness for new programs.
