Job summary

Valley Craft Industries in Lake City, Minnesota seeks a Manufacturing Engineer to drive process development and equipment optimization for material handling and storage products. You will lead design verification, validation, line balancing, and layout design to enable successful launches for our clients.

In this fast-paced role you’ll manage cross-functional projects, identify root causes, and implement improvements to safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Strong understanding of ISO manufacturing regulations.
• Experience designing and developing manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Knowledge of statistical process control and process validation requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage small to large scale projects to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost metrics.
• Plan, coordinate and resource tasks among cross‑functional teams.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions.
• Assess and reduce safety risks in the manufacturing environment.
• Establish production run rates and balance workflow.
• Improve product quality via quality control and mistake-proofing.

Education

BS in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering

2–5 years manufacturing eng experience
