Job summary

Valley Craft Industries in Lake City, Minnesota, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to lead development and manufacturing of material handling and storage products. You will execute process development, design verification, validation, equipment troubleshooting, line balancing, and layout design to ensure successful product launches.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage multiple projects, apply ISO manufacturing standards, and drive cost reduction while maintaining quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, mechanical engineering or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Strong understanding of ISO manufacturing regulations.
• Experience designing and developing manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Knowledge of statistical process control and process validation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong written communication and ability to work across teams.
• Proficiency with Excel, Project, Outlook; AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
• Plan, coordinate, and resource tasks across cross-functional teams.
• Problem-solve and perform root cause analysis for technical issues.
• Assess and reduce safety risks in manufacturing and improve ergonomics.
• Establish run rates, balance work, and ensure smooth material flow.
• Improve product quality with quality control and mistake-proofing.
• Drive cost reductions through labor and material efficiency.
• Support new product launches and maintain effective communication.
