Job summary

Adient in Normal, Illinois is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to design, implement, and improve manufacturing processes, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production.

You'll collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and leadership to optimize operations and drive continuous improvement through PFMEA, control plans, and process optimization. Bachelor's degree and 3+ years' experience required; automotive background preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, industrial, manufacturing engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering or related manufacturing role.
• Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flows.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and validate manufacturing processes, methods, tooling, equipment, and controls.
• Analyze labor utilization, equipment requirements, workflow, and layout to maximize efficiency.
• Support prototype development, builds, and production launches.
• Lead process improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
