Job summary

Kalwall Enterprises Inc. in Manchester, NH, part of Apogee Enterprises, is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer for on-site work. You will lead manufacturing process improvements, provide hands-on technical support, and troubleshoot automated equipment.

The role requires CAD proficiency and experience with CNC, welding, and finishing. Ideal candidates have a 3–5 year manufacturing engineering background, strong communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Proficient in CAD and Microsoft Office; 3D printing a plus.
• Troubleshooting control components and motion systems in automated equipment.
• Experience in assembly, CNC machining, testing, heat treating, bending, welding, and finishing is a plus.
• Demonstrated creative problem solving and good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify, design, propose, and implement manufacturing process and equipment improvements to advance safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency.
• Provide leadership and hands-on technical support for manufacturing operations and maintenance activities.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and document breakdowns of automated equipment.
• Create and maintain detailed engineering drawings, manufacturing work instructions, and maintenance procedures.
• Design tooling, fixtures, and equipment for in-house fabrication to support operations.
• Assist in specifying and procuring new capital equipment with outside suppliers.
• Contribute to root cause corrective action in cross-functional team events.
