Job summary

Intertech Products, Inc. in North Manchester, Indiana is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer focused on compression molding and plastics processing.

This hands-on role develops, optimizes, and sustains molding processes to improve safety, quality, delivery, and profitability. You will collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, tooling, suppliers, and customers on process validation, DOE, capital projects, and new product launches, applying Lean and Six Sigma methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Plastics, Polymer, Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• Approximately 2+ years of manufacturing engineering, process engineering, plastics processing, tooling, or related experience.
• Co-op, internship, or technician experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain compression molding processes for thermoplastic components.
• Establish process parameters and operating windows for molding.
• Troubleshoot defects and process instability.
• Lead mold trials, DOE, and production readiness activities for new and existing products.
• Collaborate with tooling resources and suppliers on mold improvements.
• Support manufacturability reviews and product launches.
