Job summary

LITTLE TREES in DeWitt, IA is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to improve processes, design tooling, and drive continuous improvement on-site. You will analyze production data, implement equipment upgrades, and partner with cross-functional teams to enhance safety, quality, and throughput.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of manufacturing experience, a relevant bachelor's degree, and proficiency with SolidWorks for tooling and drawings. Some travel to Watertown, NY may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with successful process improvements.
• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or related engineering.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, root cause analysis, pneumatics, and materials.
• Proficiency with SolidWorks or equivalent CAD to develop tooling and drawings.
• Travel 10–20% including visits to Watertown, NY as needed.

Responsibilities

• Analyze production data and workflows to improve safety, quality, productivity, and throughput.
• Develop tooling, fixtures, and machine modifications to enhance performance.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce bottlenecks and variation.
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, quality, and engineering teams.
• Create and maintain engineering docs including 3D models, BOMs, and drawings.
• Lead upgrades and automation projects from concept through testing and implementation.
