Job summary

The Pivot Group Network partners with DeWitt-area manufacturers to identify skilled Design Engineers for opportunities in and around Clinton County. This role focuses on creating and maintaining detailed drawings, performing GD&T analysis, and improving manufacturability through CAD tools.

Designed for engineers who collaborate across production and quality teams and contribute to cost and waste reduction while updating documentation for current production.

Qualifications

• Must read and create detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Knowledge of GD&T and tolerance analysis required.
• Experience working with production/manufacturing teams.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written communication.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks/Creo/AutoCAD).

Responsibilities

• Work with production and quality teams to resolve design issues on the floor.
• Prepare and maintain bills of materials and engineering change notices.
• Run tolerance stack-ups and basic design calculations.
• Support prototype builds and test new components.
• Update drawings and documentation to match current production.
• Respond to supplier questions about specifications and dimensions.
• Create and revise 3D models and 2D drawings for parts and assemblies.
• Review designs for manufacturability and suggest cost/waste reduction ideas.

Salary Range: $74,000 – $113,000 depending on experience
