Job summary

ICON is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop and implement world-class manufacturing processes for construction technologies at our Austin, TX campus. You will drive scalability, safety, and quality across mechanical and electrical systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams and leading NPI transitions from prototype to production.

The role requires hands-on experience in manufacturing, data-driven process control, and strong documentation practices to support long-term scalability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering in product-based environment.
• Hands-on experience with welding, fabrication, and electro-mechanical assemblies.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or other parametric CAD tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for scalability, efficiency, and repeatability in production.
• Develop and manage quality systems including NRTL and CE certifications for regulatory and safety compliance.
• Lead cross-functional efforts with engineering, quality, and production teams for smooth NPI and transitions to full-scale production.
• Manage BOMs, process routings, and manufacturing documentation.
• Oversee ECRs/ECOs ensuring traceability and knowledge continuity.
• Collaborate with product/process engineers to evaluate manufacturability early and standardize assembly processes.
• Develop data-driven approaches to process control, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Provide floor-level support for assembly, test, and validation activities and perform root-cause analysis.
