Job summary

Amazon Manufacturing Services (AMS) is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our advanced manufacturing team. The role will be embedded across AMS sites and focus on NPI, process development, and equipment selection to meet quality, throughput, and cost targets.

The ideal candidate will contribute to DFM reviews, drive continuous improvement, and partner with product engineering, operations, and supply chain to scale production across AMS facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• 4+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience in a production environment.
• Experience with prototyping and implementation of new products or processes.
• Experience with capital equipment selection, specification, or commissioning.
• Experience evaluating or integrating automation into production lines.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing process development for new products from prototype through production ramp.
• Participate in capital equipment evaluation, specification, and commissioning activities.
• Research and recommend advanced manufacturing technologies and automation solutions that improve throughput, quality, and cost.
• Analyze existing production lines to identify bottlenecks, reduce cycle times, optimize setups, and increase capacity using data-driven methods and lean manufacturing principles.
• Design for Manufacturability (DFM) input during product design reviews to ensure cost-effective production.
• Work with cross-functional teams to resolve manufacturing challenges and support site launches and expansions.
• Utilize PLM systems to manage product data, engineering changes, and manufacturing documentation.
