Job summary

Ace Precision is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to improve processes, quality, and performance on the shop floor. You will partner across production, quality, sales, and engineering to optimize aerospace and defense manufacturing programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering required with 3+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with 3D modeling (SolidWorks or similar software).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies and applying statistics in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing manufacturing processes and implementing solutions to improve efficiency, quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, sales, and engineering teams on aerospace/defense programs.
  • Develop and validate manufacturing processes using engineering principles, statistics, and Lean/Six Sigma.
  • Lead improvement projects with timelines, priorities, and deliverables using project management tools.
  • Evaluate process performance with data to identify variation, risk, and optimization opportunities.
  • Create and maintain routings, work instructions, sketches, and process changes.
  • Design complex routings and manufacturing sketches meeting customer specs and internal standards.
  • Support production and quality in dispositioning nonconforming product and deciding rework/corrective actions.
  • Communicate project status and recommendations clearly to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Document technical decisions and process changes with accuracy and clarity.

What You Will Do

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Ace Precision, you will:

  • Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including routings, work instructions, sketches, and process changes
  • Design complex routings and manufacturing sketches that meet customer specifications and internal standards
  • Support production and quality teams by dispositioning nonconforming product and determining rework or corrective actions
  • Communicate project status and recommendations clearly to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Document technical decisions and process changes with accuracy and clarity
What Experience You Need
  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering with 3+ years of manufacturing experience
  • Experience with 3D modeling (SolidWorks or similar software)
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies with the ability to apply statistical techniques in a manufacturing environment
Bonus Points For
  • Experience in sheet metal forming, CNC machining, fusion/resistance welding, heat treating/brazing, or 5-axis laser cutting
  • Experience working with an ERP system, preferably Epicor
